The Perham boys basketball team raced out to a 19-0 lead and cruised to a 73-48 victory in their regular season finale against Pequot Lakes on Feb. 28 in Pequot Lakes.
The Yellowjackets capped off a perfect regular season with its 25th straight win. It’s the third straight season the Yellowjackets have posted 25 or more wins. The Yellowjackets are 101-3 in the past four regular seasons.
Finn Diggins led the way for Perham with 27 points, while Charlie Rasmussen added 19 and Elijah Morris finished with 15 in the victory.
The Yellowjackets raced out to the 19-0 lead and continued to pull away from the Patriots, by out-scoring them 35-19 in the first half and 38-29 in the second half for the road victory.
Diggins grabbed six rebounds in the win to lead the team, while Landon Stevens and Gunnar Anderson pulled down five each. Morris had four steals to go with his 15 points in the victory.

Rasmussen finished with two assists and was eight of 11 from the field in the win.
Alex Morgan led the Patriots with 10 points, while Korey Jackson finished with nine.
The Yellowjackets will face a familiar foe at the start of the Section 8AA playoffs. They open the postseason at home against Frazee on March 5 at 7 p.m.
The Yellowjackets defeated the Hornets 80-49 in their only regular season meeting in 2020.
