A bald eagle stands over a racoon carcass as the American icon dines on some road kill Tuesday morning east of New York Mills on U.S. Highway 10. Adult bald eagles are readily identified by their white heads and tails. The rest of the feathers are dark brown. Males and females are identical in color but females are larger.
