The bodies of a man and woman, along with two deceased dogs, were found on the 25000 block of County Road 6 in a Lakeview Township residence on Sept. 27, according to a news release from the Becker County Sheriff's Office.
“Waterville friends of the murderer said he could drop five quail with as many shots, and the unarmed wardens had no chance at all," said a contemporaneous newspaper account of the encounter.

Prominent Republicans have tweeted about 18-year-old Cayler Ellingson's death, and some are questioning why Shannon Brandt was not charged with murder. Gov. Doug Burgum even issued a rare tweet about the case.
"I get angry when I think of how (Jesse) Powell hunts for his victims, under the guise of helping us, and how he kept getting away with it," one of the victims said.
