A fundraising campaign, recently launched by the Perham Sportsman's Club, will help get the Perham Hot Shots a new trap shooting facility with the assistance of community donations.
The Fighting Alliance Championship 14 is bringing a worldwide television audience, UFC Fight Pass, to the Kent Freeman Arena in Detroit Lakes for a night of ultimate fighting on May 20. Doors for the event open at 5:30 p.m. The preliminary fights start at 6:30 with the UFC Fight Pass main event broadcast beginning at 9 p.m.
“I saw some extremely encouraging things from the girls tonight,” said Perham head coach Nikki Bruns. “We battled hard, we were aggressive, and we were competitive."
While Anderson and Grunewald have passed away, their work with the Brave Like Gabe foundation is still positively impacting the world today. On the morning of Saturday, Aug. 28, Perham hosted a Brave Like Gabe cross country invite at Arvig Park.
