Wrestling: Yellowjackets split New London-Spicer triangular

PERHAM-- The Perham wrestling team split its two head-to-head matchups at the New London-Spicer triangular on Thursday night.

After falling to the host school 42-30, the Yellowjackets picked up a 45-30 win over Delano. Chandler Mickelson (120) and Braylon Rach (180) scored fall victories for Perham, while Kaden Felt (145), Hudson Hackel (195), Jacob Meeks (160) and Johnathan Ramos (126) won matches by forfeit.

Mickelson also pinned New London-Spicer’s Caleb Nelson in the Yellowjackets’ 42-30 loss. Blake Lorentz (16) won by fall over Reid Holmquist, while Rach pinned Sam Gabrielson. Hackel scored the fourth Perham pin of the match against Payton Meis.
